Silicone Rubber Nanocomposites are prepared by incorporation of alumina nanopaticle in to Silicone rubber and its electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties are investigated in the present work. The methodology of fabrication of nanocomposites, various ageing conditions simulated to near outdoor conditions in real situation, the various physico-chemical diagnostic studies made are discussed in detail. The mechanisms governing the improvement of electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of nanocomposites are explained in this work.
