SIDDHI Webinar Series, IIT Madras is hosting a Republic Day webinar by Dr. Sunita Narain, Director-General, Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi on January 26, 2021 between 11 am - 12 noon. Dr. Narain will speak on "Gandhi and Cities: Challenges of Affordable and Sustainable Growth". Dr Sunita Narain is a recipient of Padma Shri, the fourth higher civilian award of India. Dr. Narain has also served as a member of Prime Minister's Council on Climate Change. Recently, she has been appointed as a member of One Health Global Leaders Group on Antimicrobial Resistance which reports to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
