Indian Aesthetics is distinctly different from other world aesthetics in its form and
expression. Research shows recognition of a distinct aesthetic traditional history that
incorporates several religions, dialectic domains, cultural networks, philosophies of
thought and living and a highly imaginative range of expressions from philosophic
heights to folk and tribal expressions of the human mind. Addressing the question whether
Indian aesthetics has a role in the contemporary and future ethos which is a result of a
global fusion of cultures in terms of the social structures’ information gathering and work
cultures?
With these questions in mind we find upon scrutiny that Indian aesthetics is defined by
its cultural ethnicity and economic potential. Indian aesthetics is quite distinct from other
aesthetic philosophies and expressions across the world predominantly due to its
philosophic, ethnic and traditional historicity. Defining Indian Design aesthetics as that
quality of problem-solving that perfectly combines beauty, technology and form which
can be recognised by consumers as a result of ‘art thinking’ from designer and user ends
can positively increase user experience and innovation.
