The Centre for Nanoelectromechanical Systems (NEMS) and Nanophotonics works in close collaboration with the Departments of Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering to carry out research and development, and is one of the most successful Interdisciplinary Research Programmes (IDRPs) by the Institute. The Photonics group works closely with the Microelectronics and Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) laboratory to develop a variety of photonic devices.
