Press Release
Ministry of Education, Government of India, is inviting participants who have developed credible, deployed and research-backed AI solutions with demonstrated measurable outcomes to part in the IIT Madras Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026.
The event will be a national-level platform focused on accelerating responsible and outcome-driven adoption of AI across India’s education ecosystem, scheduled to be held on 12–13 February 2026 in Delhi. The call is aimed at identifying and engaging AI-enabled education solutions that have moved beyond pilots and demonstrate measurable impact on learning outcomes.
The last date for submission of Letters of Interest is 29 January 2026. Interested organisations may register and submit their proposals through the official link: https://bodhan-ai-conclave-2026.zohobackstage.in/
Submissions are invited across four priority verticals:
1. AI for School Education,
2. AI for Higher Education,
3. AI for Skilling and Workforce Readiness, and
4. AI Research and Deep Technology.
The call is open to solution providers, academic and research institutions, foundations, government bodies and other stakeholders from across India and abroad.
Calling upon people from all over India to take part, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “India’s education system is undergoing a decisive transformation under National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework, with a strong emphasis on competency-based learning, inclusion, multilingual education and measurable learning outcomes beginning with strong foundations. In this context, AI is emerging as a powerful enabler to address persistent challenges across the education ecosystem, particularly in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, teacher support, assessment and diagnostics, personalised learning, and system-level monitoring at scale.”
To advance this national priority, the Ministry of Education has established a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education at IIT Madras, set up as ‘IIT Madras Bodhan AI Foundation’. The Centre carries a national mandate to develop responsible, scalable and India-first AI solutions for education, aligned with national policies and digital public frameworks, while democratising access across diverse socio-economic, geographic and linguistic contexts.
The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 is envisioned as a national platform for landscape discovery, bringing together policymakers, government representatives, educators, researchers, solution providers and ecosystem partners to map, engage with and evaluate AI-enabled education solutions at scale.
Selected participants will receive high-visibility national exposure and the opportunity to showcase their solutions to policymakers, government representatives, academic and research institutions, edtech practitioners, investors, philanthropic organisations and industry stakeholders.
Participants will present through demonstration stalls at the conclave and receive structured review and feedback from a designated committee, as well as from educators, learners and other stakeholders attending the event.
Participation in the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 will be a prerequisite for organisations seeking future engagement with the Centre of Excellence, including research partnerships, pilot implementations, co-development initiatives or potential integration with the Bharat EduAI Stack being developed under the Centre. Accordingly, Letters of Interest are invited from Indian and international edtech startups and companies, AI solution providers with proven deployments and measurable impact in education, and academic institutions and research groups for participation in the IIT Madras Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026.
