Novel ground states in frustrated magnets

Frustration-induced strong quantum fluctuations, anisotropy, and the interplay between competing degrees of freedom can lead to emergent quantum phenomena in frustrated magnets.
The exchange interactions, encompassing both nearest-neighbor and higher-order interactions between the spins in triangular and kagome spin lattices can lead to a dynamic ground state. However, the comparable interplanar interaction energetically favours a 3-dimensional ordering. The introduction of the intrinsic or extrinsic disorder perturbs the system, giving rise to unconventional ground states such as spin glass, random singlet state, etc. In this talk, I will discuss these novel ground states in the frustrated magnets decorated on triangular and kagome spin lattices, followed by a research plan.
