The MAV design inspired by natural flyers represents the most challenging and exciting direction for the research community. The main area of interest is to understand the bionic flow mechanism under various operating conditions. The present study deals with the investigation of flow past the Seagull wing undergoing pitching and flapping motions, with fluid flow that mimics gusty environment. In pitching wing study, to mimic gust-like realistic conditions, a time-varying velocity is imposed at the inlet. The effect of pitching parameters and gust parameters on flow structures and force coefficients has been studied. For identification of flow periodicity, marginal spectral analysis of transverse velocity signal v(t) has been carried out. In the flapping wing study, the effect of flapping amplitude and frequency on flow structures and force coefficients has been investigated.
