The Kumar lab works on the genetic and neural circuitry of complex behaviours, particularly reward-related behaviours. We apply computational, genetic, and genomic methods to understand mechanisms underlying complex behaviours. The field of behaviour quantification is undergoing a technology-based revolution with broad impacts on neurogenetics and drug development. I will speak about the applications of computer vision and machine learning to complex behaviour analysis and discuss its potential applications.
