In this seminar, I will introduce to you the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), presenting the facts and figures about our institute and give a brief description of our mission and different domains of research at the IIT. I will then go on to discuss the research being conducted into advanced robotics at IIT, including legged robotics, manipulation, robot perception, physical human-robot interaction, machine learning, tele-robotics, and immersive interfaces. I will describe how we are applying these technologies in the real world. I will conclude the seminar with a note on the opportunities at IIT for internships, PhDs, and postdoctoral research.
