Gastrointestinal tract (GI) diseases significantly impact global health, affecting over 40% of the population. Traditional endoscopy, the standard for diagnosis, has limited access to the small bowel (SB). Early identification of these diseases is crucial to improving patient outcomes, reducing mortality rates, and minimizing treatment costs. Capsule endoscopy (CE) addresses the limitations of traditional endoscopy by providing comprehensive access to SB in addition to the other parts of the GI tract.
