In the current science, nanotechnology is a burning area of research. Nanotechnology deals with a particle having sizes in the nano range i.e. 1-100 nm. Properties of metal nanoparticles are different from bulk metal, due to this variation in properties, t hese nanoparticles find applications as a catalyst, in the medical, food industry, and electronics. Silver and gold nanoparticles are more demanded owing to noble metal. Furthermore, the demand for silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has increased due to various applications and relatively low costs (∼1/90 of the cost of gold). AgNPs can be synthesized by chemical, physical and biological methods. However, the chemical method is the most used because of easy control over the size and shape of nanoparticles, which has a significant effect on their physical and chemical properties. Although, AgNPs have been synthesized in various sizes and shapes. However, synthesis of small (
