The following four students have won the National Essay Competition held as a part of the IMPRINT (Impacting Research Innovation and Technology) India initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI  :

  1. Srikirshna AS, Department of Mechanical Engineering (AT14M009) on winning the 1st prize under the Manufacturing domain for his Essay entitled ‘I.N.D.I.A.: A focus on Making India an Advanced Manufacturing Powerhouse’.
  2. Mahak Goindani, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CS11B041) on winning the 2nd prize under the Information and Communication Technology domain for his Essay entitled ‘Role of Computer Science and ICT in the Growth of India.
  3. Raghavendra Ajit AVNS, Department of Engineering Design (ED14B034) on winning the 3rd prize under the Environment Science and Climate Change domain for his essay entitled ‘It’s Time to be a Miser’.
  4. Ankit Jain, Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME12B158) on winning the 1st Prize under the Defence domain for his essay entitled ‘Fight for Might : An Insight in Future Defence Challenges and Their Realistic Long Term Solutions’.

They have been awarded the prizes at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of the launch of the IMPRINT India Initiative on November 5, 2015.
