IIT Madras Team 'Alcheme' has won the First Prize in the Water and Sanitation category at the Grand Finale of the National Bio Entrepreneurship Competition 2019 (NBEC-2019) held at Bengaluru on December 14, 2019.    

Alcheme focusses on robotic solutions for Septic Tanks, and is led by Divanshu Kumar (2019 ME DD alumnus) and is mentored by Prof. Prabhu Rajagopal.  The prize entitles a cash award of Rs.7.5 Lakhs and an investment promise of Rs.30 lakhs. 

 

Of over 3000 applicants from across India, 15 teams were chosen to the 4-day finale boot camp after initial national screening and regional pitching rounds, in which Alcheme emerged as a winner.   For further details visit : Yourstory/Hindu Businessline.
