The Director has reconstituted the Institutional Bio-safety Committee for the Biotechnology programme of IIT Madras, to oversee the ethica and bio-safety aspects to conduct Biotechnology Research and Development as well as routine lab work, espically in the context of recombination-DNA (genetic engineering) work, with the following composition:
