Course Name: CH5030 : Transport Phenomena
Description: Phenomenological description of the continuum approach. Reynolds transport theorem. Basic laws of conservation of mass, momentum and energy and multicomponent systems. Entropy generation equation and constitutive relations. Transport properties. Modelling of engineering systems and the specification of boundary conditions. Momentum, heat and mass transfer in laminar and turbulent flows. Boundary layer theory and potential flow. The transport coefficient and the macroscopic treatment of momentum, energy and mass transport in complex system.
