Important Information

    • iitm mail id is important for registration
    • The online registration for receiving the Degree in person or Degree in Absentia (with address details) is must 
    • For online registration click :   http://www.iitm.ac.in/convocation/Online-Registration / Emails / hard  copy will not be entertained..
    • The Institute will arrange to supply the gown for the occasion at the Convocation Reception Office in the corresponding Hostel after verifying your photo available at the counter.
    • Please note that for operational convenience, the gowns will only be issued from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on 18th July 2013 and from 7.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. on 19th July 2013 only to the graduand in person.  To avoid possible embarrassment to graduands and their parents, please note that, on no account, request for issue of gowns will be entertained after 9.00 a.m. on Friday the 19th July 2013 (i.e. the day of the convocation).  Gowns will not be issued to proxy.
    • The graduands are requested to wear proper footwear (shoes) befitting the occasion.
    • A sum of Rs.300/- will be deducted from your caution deposit as Convocation fee and Gown hire fee.  You have to return the gown as soon as the Convocation is over.  Otherwise your remaining caution deposit will not be refunded.
    • Only graduands will be provided accommodation on campus.  Kindly note that accompanying persons will have to make their own arrangements off-campus.  For graduands campus accommodation kindly contact ccw@iitm.ac.in  Phone : 044 -22578500
    • You should report to (the faculty volunteer of your department) at SAC building by 3.00 p.m.  Graduands are required to occupy the allotted seats at SAC before the commencement of Convocation i.e. before 3.14.59 p.m. on 19.07.2013.
    • Graduands reaching SAC building beyond 15.14.59 hrs. will lose their privilege of receiving the degree in the convocation.  Such graduands will be handed over the degree certificate, on the following day, in Alumni Day Function (forenoon).
    • Graduates will not be given photos / CDs  since the photos will be made available in the http://www.cce.iitm.ac.in/
    • In case you are unable to be present at the Convocation, please register under Degree in Absentia accordingly, taking the degree IN ABSENTIA by giving the exact address with pin and zip code.  The degree certificate and brochure will be sent to your address, after the Convocation.
    • Please note that Children below 12 years are not allowed into the SAC during the Convocation.
    • Outside / commercial photographers are not permitted within the venue after the convocation.
